
BELT FOR BLIND

Have you ever observed what happens when we go inside the movie hall? The hall is dark and we could hardly see anything. We switch on the flashlight immediately to overpower the darkness around us.
We couldn’t even tolerate the few seconds of darkness. so, just imagine, what a person who has completely lost his vision goes through in his everyday life.
The trivial task like crossing roads, or even just walking in public which we do so effortlessly, is a big hindrance for them.
The public and surroundings unknowingly become their obstacle. On that account, we came with the idea which would make their life a bit easy.
The Smart Belt for the blind is composed of ultrasonic sensors, which detects the hurdle and the distance from them. It would also raise an alarm to notify the user as well as the public around him. This would make him cautious and everyone else aware that they are being the hurdle so that they can give him the space he needs.

WORKING PRINCIPLE
The circuit for the device consists of
• NODE MCU
• ULTRASONIC SENSOR
• BUZZER
• BREADBOARD
• MALE AND FEMALE JUMPER CABLES
• ARDUINO IDE
Ultrasonic sensor and buzzer are connected to Arduino ide through jumper cables and breadboard. Then the code is applied in the Arduino ide to compile. When the hurdle’s distance is 1 meter, the buzzer will go off and will make the user cautious. For the demonstration purpose, we have kept the distance 10 centimeters.
